Pink Velvet Hot Chocolate

I promised you Pink Velvet Hot Chocolate yesterday, so here it is!

A rich and creamy hot chocolate with a Valentine’s Day twist!

I had planned on doing a Red Velvet Hot Chocolate for my first Valentine’s post this year, but then it started popping up all over the place. So what’s better than red?

So what’s the difference between Red Velvet and Pink Velvet you ask? Well, no one seems to have a real answer for that, so here’s mine: Pink Velvet is made with white chocolate, and still has the same great addition of cream cheese. That seems like a pretty logical explanation, don’t you think?

Alrighty, well I won’t hold you up any longer, let’s get on to the recipe and the rest of the tempting photos!

  • Wisk together milk, white chocolate sauce, and vanilla in a small pot over medium heat.
  • Bring to a simmer and transfer to a mug.
  • Top with whipped cream and sprinkles!

I love how fun this hot chocolate is, and it would be perfect for a cozy Valentine’s night in. The cream cheese whipped cream, really is the icing on the cake though. There’s nothing I love more when it’s cold than a cup of hot chocolate that has a frothy layer of whipped cream; and this whipped cream is to die for. Sweet and fluffy with a much lighter taste than your traditional whipped cream confections. This is a mug full of pure perfection!
