Start planning that Halloween Party now with these great tips for a smooth and fun night!
Halloween is just a few short weeks away and it’s time to start planning all the details of that fabulous party you’re going to throw! There’s a lot that goes into planning a party and it never hurts to start early. When I throw a party, I like to make sure it’s both fun and refined and filled with details that really bring everything together.
Of course the most important thing about a party is the food and drink, you’d agree right? I like to serve appetizers and desserts at my parties, things that can be eaten in small portions is always best. We always put together a nice collection of spirits to serve as well. This usually includes a few bar staples and a couple nice bottles of wine. And what wine is more fitting than Casillero del Diablo Wines, the wine protected by the devil. Check out the The Legend of Don Melchor de Concha y Toro video below for a fun history on The Official Wine of Halloween got it’s name!
Casillero del Diablo is the single most distributed wine brand in the world and the #1 imported Cabernet Sauvignon in the United States, and for good reason too! It’s rich notes and smooth taste are the perfect addition to dinner, a party, or even enjoyed while cuddled up with a book on a rainy fall day. There’s also a limited edition Hallowine gift box that would make a great hostess or best costume gift!
Speaking of costumes, it’s important to let your guests know if it’s a costume party. It’s easy enough to pass of “pedestrian” in a room full of costumed people, but it’s no fun being Superman in a room full of pedestrians, or maybe it is, but just in case, let’s save your guests the worry! Casillero del Diablo has actually teamed up with Spirit Halloween to host a Legendary Costume Contest on their Facebook page for a new DSLR camera! So don’t forget to enter by October 31st!
When throwing a party it’s always important to have some great entertainment. I love this collection of Halloween Party Games from Play.Party.Pin! Plus you’ve got to have great music and Matt whipped up the Ultimate Halloween Playlist for all of you earlier in the week which you can snag on both Spotify and iTunes for easy listening!
When planning your party, it’s important to take into account the size of your space, no one wants to be squeezed in like sardines, but you also want to keep the mood lively and fun! Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, which means there are going to be tons of parties going on that Friday and Saturday. This means it might be wise to throw your party a week early to ensure most everyone can make it! Plus, everyone gets multiple uses out of their costumes!
So those are my basic tips for throwing a great Halloween party, so have fun and be safe!
