The flavors of winter come together in this Gingerbread Eggnog Latte, a homemade take on my favorite Starbucks beverage.
I mentioned it way back when in my Eggnog French Toast recipe that I loved working at Starbucks during my college years because it meant I could craft fun new beverages, it was almost like what I do now except I didn’t take photos of it. That was back before Instagram and all that fun stuff.
Wow, I was a junior in college before Instagram landed on smart phones all over, hell the original iPhone wasn’t even a year old then and what are we up to now, like 16 or something? These last few months I’ve been feeling really old and I’ve been doing some serious reminiscing. But I’m getting ahead of myself, more on all that on Saturday’s upcoming post.
My favorite drinks include the Cap’n Crunch Frappucino (Strawberry & Cream Frapp with Toffee Nut syrup), Toffee White Mocha (White Mocha with Toffee Nut syrup, Peppermint Passion Tea Lemonade (Iced Passion Tea Lemonade with Peppermint Syrup), and my all time favorite Gingerbread Eggnog Latte. I actually usually order it as a Creme without the espresso, but it’s the holidays and we all need a little boost to get us through.
This is actually a take on my poor man’s latte because I don’t have a coffee maker, let alone an espresso and steaming machine! But with a little help from some cool whip this latte has a perfectly frothy foam, no crazy machinery required! The spice of gingerbread and sweet eggnog make for a magical flavor combo this holiday season, especially hot a topped with nutmeg and a little coffee worked in! I hope you enjoy this holiday beverage as much as I have over the years!
