Apple Harvest Party with M&M’s® and Mott’s
Servings 12 Cupcakes
Easy 3-ingredient cupcakes made with applesauce and topped with a sweet Apple Pie Spice Creme Frosting!
Ingredients
Cupcakes:
- 1 Box Butter Pecan Cake Mix or flavor of your choice
- 1 cup Applesauce
- 1 cup Water
Frosting:
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 3 tbsp Instant Vanilla Pudding Mix
- 1/4 cup Confectioners' Sugar
- 1/2 tsp Apple Pie Spice
- Chopped Pecans
- Crab Apples
Instructions
Cupcakes:
- Preheat oven to 350 F.
- Line cupcake pan with liners.
- Combine ingredients in a stand mixer or large bowl and beat until smooth.
- Fill liners 2/3 - 3/4 full (they don't rise a lot)
- Bakes for 15-18 minutes or until toothpick comes clean.
- Place on cooling rack to cool completely before frosting.
Frosting:
- Add heavy cream, confectioners' sugar, pudding and apple pie spice to a large bowl or stand mixer and beat until light and fluffy.
- Adjust spice to taste.
- Pipe frosting onto cooled cupcakes.
- Sprinkle with pecans and top with crab apples.
