  • Then place the top halves of the rolls on top.
  • In a small bowl, whisk together the melted butter, egg, and pepper. Brush this mixture all over the sliders.
⅓ cup salted butter, 1 large egg, ½ teaspoon ground black pepper

  • Sprinkle the tops with powdered sugar and serve with jam on the side if desired.
1 Tablespoon powdered sugar, Raspberry or strawberry jam

Notes

  • Storage Instructions: Leftovers may be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days or in the freezer for up to 3 months.
  • I want to dip these into jam, but my jam is too thick - how can I thin it? To thin jam, put 1 cup of jam into a small sauté pan with 2 Tablespoons of lemon juice. Heat and stir these together until combined.
  • What kind of meat slices are you using? I prefer to use deli meats because they are so easy to work with.
  • I’m not a big fan of swiss cheese - what could I substitute? Try using provolone, cheddar, or mix some of your favorites.
  • What could I use instead of Hawaiian rolls? I like Hawaiian rolls because they are sweet, but really in this recipe, you could use any dinner rolls you prefer.
  • Can these be made ahead of time? Yes, assemble the rolls, cheese and meat and keep this in the fridge until ready to bake. Then prepare the melted butter and egg topping and pour this over just before you bake the sliders. Without the topping, they could be kept in the fridge for a couple of days.
  • What is the best way to reheat these sliders? They do well reheated in the microwave for about 25 seconds. Or you can reheat them in an air fryer on 350 for 4 minutes.
