These Pumpkin Pudding Shots are made with cool whip, pumpkin spice pudding mix, alcohol, and milk, making for a fun adult treat for the holidays! Takes only 5 minutes to prep about two dozen shots!
4ouncescool whipthawed (approximately half of a regular size container)
Orange food coloringoptional
Instructions
In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together the pudding mix, milk, and liqueur of choice (see falvor recommendations in notes) for 2 minutes.
1 (3.4 oz.) box instant pumpkin spice pudding mix, 1 cup whole milk, 1 cup Rumchata
Add the thawed cool whip and whisk until smooth.
4 ounces cool whip
The mixture will be a pale orange/biege color, if you want it more orange, I recommend adding in some orange food coloring to reach your desired color.

Let set for 5 minutes then evenly divide the pudding between shot glasses or 2oz. condiment containers with lids with a medium cookie scoop and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
Notes
For a lighter mousse-like texture, you can use a full tub of cool whip instead of half.
Storage Instructions: Keep these pudding shots stored in the refrigerator. Enjoy them within one week of making them!
Can I Make These Pudding Shots Ahead Of Time? Absolutely! I actually think they have more flavor after 6 hours or more of chill time. If you make them ahead of time, be sure to use lids on the plastic containers for easier storage. I also suggest waiting to top them with whipped cream and sprinkles right before serving. When prepared ahead of time you can store them in the fridge for a week or in the freezer for up to 2 months. If stored in the freezer be sure to leave room at the top of the container so there’s room for the pudding to expand.
Can These Be Made With Sugar-Free Pudding Mix? I’ve never made this recipe with sugar-free pudding mix but I believe it should be fine. That being said, I don’t think they make a sugar-free pumpkin flavor.
How Many Shots Will This Recipe Make? When using 2oz. plastic condiment containers (affiliate link) this recipe will make around 24 shots.
Is There A Way To Make These Pudding Shots Stronger? If you’re looking for a stronger shot, try making these pumpkin pie pudding shots with vodka. Or any other alcohol that has a higher alcohol content than Rumchata. You can also make them with Pumpkin Spice Kahlua!
