Hot Honey Glazed Carrots are a flavor-packed side dish that's made with Mike's Hot Honey to deliver a sweet heat that's perfect for the holidays! Ready to enjoy in about an hour!

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs carrots
  • ¼ cup hot honey
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • 2 tablespoon garlic paste
  • 1 tablespoon salted butter super soft or melted
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 425°F and grease a 10x10-inch baking dish (or similar) or line a rimmed baking pan with parchment paper and set aside.
  • Peel and chop large carrots into evenly sized pieces. If the carrots are thick, I recommend cutting them in half. Leave baby-cut carrots as is.
    2 lbs carrots
  • Add the carrots to a bowl with the hot honey, avocado oil, garlic paste, butter, paprika, salt, pepper, and pepper flakes, and stir until the carrots are evenly coated in the mixture.

  • Bake for 40 to 55 minutes until the carrots are fork-tender. The bake time will vary based on the thickness of the carrots.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh parsley if desired.

Notes

  • Leftovers: Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days, reheat in the microwave.
  • Type Of Carrots – Feel free to use large, baby, or baby-cut carrots when making this hot honey glazed carrots recipe! Just make sure you have 2lbs of your choice as that’s the amount this recipe is fitted for!
  • Thick Carrots – If you are using whole carrots that are a bit thick, you’ll want to chop them up into consistently sized pieces. Some whole carrots I find are so thick that I also cut them in half before chopping!
  • Prepare Your Baking Dish – This recipe can be made in a baking dish or a rimmed baking pan. To prevent the carrots from sticking, grease the baking dish or line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Baking Time – The amount of time it takes to cook these hot honey glazed carrots will vary! This is because the baking time is based on the thickness of the carrots. Thick, whole carrots generally take 1 hour whereas baby carrots are done within 40 to 50 minutes.
