These easy Oreo Ball Truffles are dipped in white chocolate and decorated like snowmen for a cute and delicious holiday treat!

Ingredients

  • 45 Oreo cookies about an 18 ounce Family Size package
  • 8 ounces cream cheese room temperature
  • 10 ounces Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers divided
  • 12 mini Oreos pulled apart
  • 24 Rolos candies dark chocolate for best color match
  • Holly sprinkle mix
  • Snowman sprinkle mix

Instructions

  • Line a baking tray with parchment and set it aside.
  • Add the 45 Oreo cookies in a food processor or high speed blender and pulse into fine crumbs.
  • In a large mixing bowl with a hand mixer on high speed, beat the softened 8 ounces cream cheese until smooth.
  • Add the Oreo crumbs to the bowl and mix on medium speed until well combined.
  • Using a medium cookie scoop, portion the mixture into evenly sized balls and then roll them in the palms of your hands to smooth them out. Place the rolled balls on the prepared baking tray and chill for 2 hours.
  • While the balls chill, prepare the snowman hats. Melt about ¼ cup of the 10 ounces Ghirardelli white chocolate melting wafers in the microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one until melted.
  • Split the 12 mini Oreos in half then scrape off and discard the cream filling.
  • Use a skewer to dab a little of the melted chocolate onto the top of an Oreo half. Immediately place 1 of the 24 Rolos candies upside-down on top and decorate with Holly sprinkle mix if you'd like. Repeat and make the rest of the snowman hats, then set aside and allow the chocolate to harden.
  • Melt the remaining white chocolate melting wafers in a microwave at 30-second intervals, stirring between each one, until fully melted and smooth.
  • Use a fork to dip one ball at a time into the melted chocolate. Lift the fork and lightly tap it on the side of the bowl just to even out the coating. Place the ball back onto the baking tray.
  • Immediately add the Snowman sprinkle mix to decorate the face, two black sugar pearl sprinkles for the eyes, a carrot sprinkle for the nose, and then additional black sugar pearl sprinkles for the smile. Work quickly, as the coating may set fast.
  • Add the decorated hats on top of the "snowman heads" of the Oreo balls. If the coating has already set, then dab a little of the melts on top before placing the hat. Hold it steady for a few seconds to ensure it sets and doesn’t slide off. Repeat with the rest of the Oreo balls.
  • Allow to set completely before serving, about 15 minutes. Keep in the refrigerator until ready to eat. Enjoy!

Notes

  • Any flavored Oreos will work in this recipe.
  • If you can’t find Wilton’s Snowman Decorating Sprinkles, then you can use black sugar pearls or black icing gel to make the eyes and the smile. For the nose, you can use an orange sprinkle or orange tic tac.
  • Store leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 5 days.
