This Beer Bread is made with Belgian-style wheat beer and 5 other ingredients to create a buttery, moist loaf of bread!Slide the loaf pan of batter into the oven to bake after only 5 minutes of prep!
Preheat the oven to 375°F and grease a loaf pan with nonstick spray or butter.
In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
Add beer to dry ingredients and gently stir together just until combined.
Pour the melted butter over the bread batter.
Bake for 50 to 60 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean from the center of the loaf.
Notes
Nutritional information is an estimate. This recipe makes one loaf which should serve about 8 slices/people. Information is based on servings of 8.
I prefer Belgian ales or light ales for this recipe but have made it before with dark beers and stouts. Flavored beers such as blueberry or pumpkin also work well.
You can use a lemon-lime soda in place of the beer.
Beer Bread can be stored covered/wrapped at room temperature for up to 3 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
To freeze: allow the bread to cool completely before wrapping it in plastic wrap and placing it in a large freezer bag.
