German Kinderpunsch (Kinder Punch)

Kinderpunsch is made with mulling spices and hibiscus tea bags in a combination of fruit juices, apple cider, and water for a warm spiced punch! Prep this family-friendly beverage in just 5 minutes!
Ingredients
- 2½ cups water
- 2 cups orange juice
- 2 cups apple cider
- 2 cup cherry juice
- 8 whole cloves
- 4 cinnamon sticks
- 2 allspice berries
- 2 star anise
- 6 bags berry hibiscus tea
- honey or simple syrup to taste
Instructions
- Add water, orange juice, cider, cherry juice, and spices to a large pot and bring to a boil.2½ cups water, 2 cups orange juice, 2 cups apple cider, 2 cup cherry juice, 8 whole cloves, 4 cinnamon sticks, 2 allspice berries, 2 star anise
- Remove from heat and add in the tea bags and steep for 10 minutes.6 bags berry hibiscus tea
- Serve in mugs garnished with orange slices, cranberries, and spices. Add honey or simple syrup to taste.honey or simple syrup
Notes
- Any hibiscus tea will work, but the Lipton berry hibiscus is the easiest to find in stores.
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 1 week and reheat on the stovetop or crockpot.
- Once prepared, it can be transferred to a crockpot to keep warm for parties.
- Sweetener is optional, personally, I don't use it because I think it's sweet enough from the fruit juices, but feel free to add either honey or simple syrup if desired.
- I recommend using 100% cherry juice and not a cocktail juice.
