brown sugar simple syrup

Instructions
Prepare the Brown Sugar Simple Syrup on the stovetop.
While the simple syrup cooks, use a citrus press to squeeze the juice out of the lemons into a liquid measuring cup.
In a pitcher, combine the
2 cups lemon juice
,
1½ cups brown sugar simple syrup
, and
8 cups cold water
.
Slice
1 lemon
into 8 slices.
Serve in a highball glass with
ice
and garnish each with a lemon slice. Serve with a straw.
Notes
If you prefer a sweeter lemonade, add an additional 1/3 cup of both brown sugar and water to the simple syrup mixture.
