About These Hot Honey Roast Carrots

These Hot Honey Glazed Carrots are a delicious dinner side dish that you don’t want to pass on! One bite of these carrots and you’ll be hooked by their sweet and savory flavor that’s followed by a low heat at the end!

I love the afterburn these carrots have yet they aren’t so hot and spicy that they’re unbearable! Instead, it’s a crave-worthy balance of sweetness and heat that will keep you going back for more!

Mike’s Hot Honey, garlic, paprika, and red pepper flakes make for a dish that fits in seamlessly at holiday meals! But since the recipe takes just 15 minutes to prep (even less if you use baby-cut carrots) and minimal ingredients it’s also quick and easy enough to make during the week to go with dinner!

Rebecca’s Tips

  • Tame The Heat – This dish isn’t overly spicy in a way that’s unbearable! However, if you still want to cut back the heat you can leave out the red pepper flakes.
  • Type Of Carrots – Feel free to use large, baby, or baby-cut carrots when making this hot honey glazed carrots recipe! Just make sure you have 2lbs of your choice as that’s the amount this recipe is fitted for!
  • Thick Carrots – If you are using whole carrots that are a bit thick, you’ll want to chop them up into consistently sized pieces. Some whole carrots I find are so thick that I also cut them in half before chopping!
  • Prepare Your Baking Dish – This recipe can be made in a baking dish or a rimmed baking pan. To prevent the carrots from sticking, grease the baking dish or line the baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Baking Time – The amount of time it takes to cook these hot honey glazed carrots will vary! This is because the baking time is based on the thickness of the carrots. Thick, whole carrots generally take 1 hour whereas baby carrots are done within 40 to 50 minutes.
  • Serving – This recipe yields enough to comfortably feed 8 people. However, if you’re feeding a larger crowd you may want to double the recipe!
