Burrata Peach Salad Ingredients
This delicious summer salad recipes includes peaches, olive oil, honey, arugula, ripe avocados, prosciutto, blackberries, pecans, burrata cheese, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper.
What Is Burrata Cheese?
Burrata is a soft Italian cheese that’s made from cow’s milk. It has a firm exterior with a soft, creamy inside that’s a mix of cream and shredded mozzarella (stracciatella). It has a fresh, creamy flavor that’s mild and delicate; you won’t find any sharp or funky cheese flavor with burrata!
Burrata could be labeled as mozzarella’s extra-creamy cousin, so if you like fresh mozzarella, burrata is going to taste like an upgrade that you’ll love!

How To Make Burrata Peach Salad
- Whisk together olive oil and honey in a small bowl. Then add in the peach wedges and toss them to coat.
- Lightly oil a grill pan and then heat it over medium heat. Grill the peach wedges in a single layer on each side until grill marks form on the fruit.
- Combine olive oil, honey, apple cider vinegar, Dijon mustard, salt, and black pepper in a small bowl. Whisk this dressing together until thoroughly combined.
- Arrange arugula on a serving platter and then top it with slices of avocado, prosciutto torn into pieces, grilled peaches, fresh blackberries, and toasted pecans.
- Tear the burrata gently into large pieces and scatter it over the assembled salad.
- Drizzle the homemade dressing over the Burrata Peach Salad and then enjoy it right away!
Rebecca’s Salad Tips
- It’s best to use fresh peaches, not frozen or jarred. Choose peaches that are ripe but firm so that they will hold their shape better when they’re cut into wedges and grilled. If the peaches are too soft, they’ll break down when cooking and turn mushy in the salad.
- The peaches can be grilled on a grill or grill pan, whichever you prefer!
- Grilling the peaches will only take a couple of minutes on each side. We just wanted them cooked until grill lines appear on each side. When grilled, the peaches should be tender yet still hold their shape.
- For the best flavor, I recommend picking a high-quality olive oil, or at least a middle-of-the-road one. A cheap option will impact the final flavor of this salad. I prefer using Bertolli Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
- You can make the dressing inside a tightly sealed jar, such as a mason jar. Then you can just shake the dressing together. This also makes it easier to pour over the salad, and then you can store any leftover dressing right in the jar!
- Toss the avocado slices with a little lemon juice before putting them on the salad to prevent them from browning.

Grilled Peach and Burrata Salad
Ingredients
Salad
Dressing
- ¼ cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons honey
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Salad
- Slice 3 peaches and 2 medium avocados into wedges, discarding the pits. Set aside.
- Toast ½ cup pecans for 3 to 4 minutes in a dry skillet, stirring frequently.
- In a small bowl, whisk 1 tablespoon olive oil with ½ tablespoon honey. Add peach wedges and toss to coat.
- Heat a grill pan over medium heat and lightly oil it. Arrange the peaches in a single layer and grill for a couple of minutes per side, until grill marks form and the peaches are just tender but still hold their shape.
- Arrange 5 cups arugula on a serving platter. Top with 2 medium avocados, 8 slices prosciutto, grilled peaches, 1 cup blackberries, and toasted pecans.
- Gently tear 1 (8oz.) ball burrata cheese into large pieces and scatter over the salad.
Dressing
- Combine ¼ cup olive oil, 2 tablespoons honey, 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar, 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard, ½ teaspoon salt, and ¼ teaspoon black pepper in a small bowl or jar. Whisk or shake until well blended.
- Drizzle with the dressing over the salad and enjoy right away.
Notes
- Unfortunately, this salad doesn’t store well. The peaches and avocados will turn brown, the overall texture will soften and wilt, and the burrata will release excess liquid, which will affect the texture and taste.
- Select peaches that are ripe but firm, as they will hold their shape better when cut into wedges and grilled. Soft peaches may break down when cooking and turn mushy in the salad.
- If burrata is not available, try soft goat cheese, feta, or fresh mozzarella. They all work great for this recipe.
- Slice avocados last and toss lightly with a little lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Swap peaches for nectarines or apricots; grilled pineapple works great, too.
- For a different crunch, use toasted almonds, walnuts, or pistachios instead of pecans.
- For a vegetarian version, omit prosciutto; for a vegan take, omit both prosciutto and burrata and swap the honey for maple syrup or agave.
