Ingredients For A Salted Honey Iced Latte

  • Nugget Ice – Though any ice will do, we all know nugget is the holy grail for homemade coffee drinks. If you don’t have a nugget ice machine, Sonic and Chick-fil-A both sell their nugget ice by the bags!
  • Honey – Make sure to grab 100% pure honey. We don’t want any added syrups, flavors, or fillers in the honey.
  • Sea Salt
  • Espresso – Scroll down to learn how to brew espresso at home!
  • Whole Milk – Or your milk of choice, I prefer whole milk as I enjoy a creamier latte.
  • Heavy Cream

How To Make A Salted Honey Iced Latte

  1. Fill a glass almost all the way up with nugget ice and set it aside.
  2. Add honey and a pinch of sea salt to a milk frothing pitcher or glass. Then brew the espresso over the top.
  3. Whip the espresso mixture using a hand frother, and then set it aside.
  4. Pour whole milk and heavy cream into the cup with ice. Lastly, pour the espresso and honey mixture over the top. Enjoy!

Rebecca’s Iced Honey Latte Tips

  • To thoroughly combine the thick, sticky honey with the espresso, it’s best to brew the hot espresso right over the honey. The heat from the espresso will melt the honey into it for a smooth mixture.
  • I find it works best to leave the spoon I measured the honey with right in the glass that I plan to brew the espresso in. That way, the hot espresso will melt and dissolve every last sweet drop of honey on the spoon. Then I use the spoon to stir the honey, espresso, and sea salt mixture together!
  • If you don’t have a hand frother to whip the espresso, you can transfer the espresso and honey mixture into a mason jar with ice and then tightly cover it to shake. A protein shaker bottle or cocktail shaker will also work.

Skip the coffee shop and make this Salted Honey Iced Latte at home in just 5 minutes! Made with espresso, honey, milk, and a touch of sea salt, this creamy iced latte delivers the perfect sweet-and-salty flavor in every sip.

Ingredients

  • nugget ice
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 pinch sea salt
  • 2 ounces espresso
  • 4-5 ounces whole milk
  • 1 ounce sweet cream coffee creamer or heavy cream
  • 1 batch salted vanilla cold foam optional topping
  • cinnamon sugar optional garnish

Instructions

  • Fill a 12-ounce glass about ¾ full of nugget ice and set aside.
  • Add 2 tablespoons honey and 1 pinch sea salt to a milk frothing pitcher or glass and brew 2 ounces espresso over the top. I find it works best to leave the honey spoon in the cup while it brews, so it dissolves and gets every last sweet drop.
  • Use a hand frother to whip the espresso mixture for about 15 seconds and set aside.
  • Pour 4-5 ounces whole milk and 1 ounce sweet cream coffee creamer into the cup with ice and pour the espresso mixture over the top.
  • If desired, prepare 1 batch salted vanilla cold foam and add to the top of the drink before enjoying.
  • Dust with cinnamon sugar before serving.
