Ingredients For Banana Split Pudding Shots
For this recipe, you’ll first need a box of instant vanilla pudding mix. Make sure to grab the instant pudding mix as cook & serve will not work in these shots!
The pudding mix will then be combined with whole milk, your favorite banana liqueur, and cool whip. From there the shots will chill and then you can top them with delicious banana split toppings!
Yummy Banana Split Toppings!
I like to top my dessert shots with more whipped topping, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and a maraschino cherry. Feel free to mix it up and use any of your favorite banana split toppings, though!
You could add a banana slice, crushed peanuts, or even pineapple chunks!

How To Make Banana Split Pudding Shots
- Whisk the pudding mix, milk, and banana liqueur together.
- Stir in the whipped topping, mixing until smooth. Afterward, place the mixture in the fridge.
- Add a layer of pudding to the bottom of each cup. Then cover them with the tops and transfer them to the fridge to chill.
- Serve with a dollop of whipped topping, chocolate syrup, sprinkles, and a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!

Rebecca’s Tips
- If you can’t find banana liqueur you just use banana pudding mix in place of the vanilla. Then just add in your favorite rum or vodka in place of the liqueur.
- Want less alcohol in these shots? You could go with just half of the banana liqueur and add the same amount of milk in its place. Or for more of a fun dessert with just a touch of alcohol only use 1/4th of the liqueur and the rest is milk.
- Use homemade whipped cream for better flavor! To do so, whip 2 cups of heavy whipping cream with 1/4 cup of powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. Then use half of the whipped cream in the mix and the other half for the topping.
Storage Instructions For Banana Split Pudding Shots
Store Banana Split Pudding Shots in the fridge, covered. These shots will remain good for up to 5 days. For longer storage, you can place them in the freezer to store for up to 3 months.
However, I would only suggest storing leftovers without the toppings.
