For basic ice cubes with garnishes, pair together your favorite fruit, mint leaves, and distilled water.

If you want something a little more robust, use one of the liquid ingredients from the recipe you’re making to make the ice cubes. As they melt, the drink will only get more flavorful instead of diluting!

Fill them with distilled water or juice of your choice and freeze overnight or until solid. Keep in mind big cubes take longer to freeze.

To ensure you avoid cloudy ice I recommend that you boil the distilled water, this makes them even clearer. Just boil the water and then let it cool to room temperature before adding to the ice cube tray.

Have fun with this recipe by picking out different shaped or sized ice cube trays or even using edible flowers! Square silicone ice cube trays are great for large cubes of ice, allowing the fruit, leaves, or flowers to be seen better.

How To Serve Decorative Ice Cubes

Don’t all good bartenders serve decorative ice at home to bring their parties to the next level? Try serving this ice at Christmas, at your cocktail bar, or for tiki drinks at pool parties.

When serving at parties place the decorative ice on top of crushed ice to preserve the life of the cocktail ice. As your guests craft their own cocktails they can choose which ice they prefer in their drinks!
