This Strawberry Frosting is so easy to make with just 3 ingredients. It’s a light, fluffy, and delicious pink frosting you can use on cupcakes, cakes, and more!
Strawberry Frosting
This is the time of year where it becomes especially hard to find fresh strawberries, especially this year since it’s been so cold across North America. But it’s also almost Valentine’s Day and that means there will be a million uses in just a few weeks for this Strawberry Frosting.
I love classic strawberry buttercream made with freshly pureed berries, but that isn’t always a possibility. This Strawberry frosting is super easy to make and whips up in just 5 minutes.
This Strawberry frosting is made with three ingredients: heavy cream, powdered sugar, and strawberry jello mix. You can make it either in a stand mixer with a whisk attachment or in a large bowl with a hand mixer.
Since this is a whipped cream based frosting, it’s light and fluffy and is best served the day it’s made. It can be used on cakes, cupcakes, and also makes a great milkshake topping!

very tasty and pretty colour. A little messy looking but good. I’m wondering if this icing would have to be refrigerated.

Can I use store bought cool whip, I don’t have heavy cream and the store was out
🙁
Rebecca Hubbell says
Not to make frosting exactly like this but I have seen people use yellow to flavor cool whip so it would probably work but I wouldn’t whip it too much because you’ll deflate the cool whip.
Toni says
Can cupcake with this frosting be frozen?
Rebecca Hubbell says
I have not tested it but I’m not sure it would thaw well with the added condensation.

Yes, it does.

Why adding the powder sugar.i would think that the jello would make it sweet enough
