What is Fruit Punch?
Fruit punch is a sweet, fruity mixture of multiple fruit juices that usually combine with a carbonated beverage in a large pitcher or large punch bowl for serving. The typical juices that make up fruit punch are pineapple, lime juice, cherry, cranberry, and/or orange.
What is in Fruit Punch?
- pineapple orange guava juice
- cran-cherry juice
- key lime juice
- lemon-lime soda
- Ice
After testing this drink recipe many times to ensure it was perfect, I found that brands played a large role in taste. Higher quality products often result in higher quality flavor, which is worth it, especially when serving friends and family!
I found the best pineapple orange guava juice to be Langers brand. However, if you can’t find this brand at your local store, an alternative will work just fine, or you can replace it with 1.5 cups of pineapple juice and 1.5 cups of orange juice as a substitute. Guava juice can be difficult to find on its own.
I also found Ocean Spray’s brand to carry the most flavorful cran-cherry juice. To make a cran-cherry juice replacement, you can use 1 cup of cranberry juice and 1 cup of cherry juice.
Just keep in mind that cherry juice not mixed with cranberry will likely have a tarter taste since it will have less sugar.
The last high-quality ingredient is Nellie & Joe’s key lime juice. We prefer their brand when using bottled key lime juice, though you can use freshly squeezed juice if you prefer!
Finishing off the ingredients list is lemon-lime soda. This can be Sprite, Starry, Sierra Mist, or 7UP. Ginger ale or club soda would be a great substitute for lemon-lime soda.
How To Make Fruit Punch
Step 1: Add the pineapple orange guava juice and cran-cherry juice to a large pitcher or punch bowl.
Step 2: Pour in the key lime juice and lemon-lime soda. Gently stir and then serve over ice with garnishes and enjoy!
Freeze a batch of fruit punch in ice cube trays ahead of time and then use them to keep the punch refreshingly chilled! This way, as the ice cubes melt, they won’t dilute the delicious flavor of the punch.
How To Store Homemade Fruit Punch
Store this homemade punch in a large pitcher with a lid or an airtight container with a lid. If your pitcher doesn’t have a lid, you can cover it with plastic wrap or tin foil.
Once covered, store the punch in the fridge to enjoy for 5 to 7 days.

- Ice
Instructions

- Serve in glasses over Ice. Garnish with pineapple wedges, citrus slices, and cherries if desired.

- You can use 1 cup of cranberry juice and 1 cup of cherry juice instead of the cran-cherry. Just note that cherry juice not mixed with the cranberry will likely have less sugar and be more tart to taste.
- You can use fresh squeezed lime juice in place of the Nellie & Joe’s. This is just the brand we like the most if using bottled.
