This Pink Gin Spritz is made with pink gin, prosecco, soda, lime juice, and fresh strawberries for a delightfully fruity cocktail that’s not too sweet!

You’ll find this delicious cocktail served on the Sky Princess Cruise Ship in the Wake View Bar, but now you can make it at home with this copycat recipe!

In October I had the pleasure of sailing on the Inaugural cruise of the Sky Princess. I’m proud to be a Princess Cruises Ambassador and share my experiences and inspired recipes with all of you. All opinions are my own.

While aboard the Sky Princess in the Mediterranean this fall, I completely fell in love with this Pink Gin Spritz cocktail! It’s light and fruity with a hint of citrus and sweet strawberries.

What Is Pink Gin?

It was created by the Royal Navy in the mid-1800s that was believed to have been used as a cure for seasickness. Ultimately, it’s Plymouth Gin with a dash of Angostura Bitters, but you find variations from popular and craft Gin distillers.

How To Make A Spritz

This is a very simple cocktail to make and it serves 4, which makes it perfect for girl’s nights or a summer evening on the desk or by the pool.

Step 1: Begin by adding sliced strawberries and limes to an ice filled carafe.

You’ll want to squeeze the lime juice into the carafe and drop the squeezed wedges in after.

Step 2: Now it’s time to start adding the good stuff, beginning with the pink gin.

On Board, this recipe is made with The Bitter Truth brand, however, I wasn’t able to get it here in the states so I settled for Gordon’s which is a little fruitier. But that’s okay because there’s nothing wrong with a little extra fruit in a poolside drink. amirite?

Also, don’t confuse pink gin with sloe gin, they have very different flavor profiles.

Step 3: Then it’s time to add the bubbles! Start with the Prosecco and then top it off with lemon-lime soda. Gently stir and serve in glasses with ice.

Don’t substitute for soda water or club soda because the lemon-lime soda adds a lot of the sweetness that really makes this drink great.

Can I Make It In Advance?

No, the majority of the drink is made up of prosecco and soda and they will lose their carbonation over time. So it’s best to serve and consume right away.

If you want to get a small head start on this recipe, you could prep your fruit and add it to the carafe with the gin and add the ice and bubbles when you’re ready to serve.

Unlike Sangria, there’s no need to wait to enjoy a glass of this fruity cocktail! You can pour yourself a glass of this pink gin spritz and start sipping right away!

And if you like it extra sweet, here’s a little pro tip: Add an ounce of simple syrup or grenadine!

And if you happen to find yourself aboard the Sky Princess this winter while it’s sailing in the Caribbean and beyond, make sure you do yourself a favor and head back to the Wake View Bar.

This state of the art cruise ship features pristine pools and hot tubs, an extensive fitness center, and the best pizza at sea! Those last two may or may not balance each other out ;)! The Lotus Spa will leave you feeling amazing – book a massage with Rosemary, you won’t be sorry!

It even has an escape room on board! And the Movies Under The Stars are my favorite! Seriously, I can’t wait to get back on that ship! There’s fun for the whole family!
