Rebecca’s Espresso Martini Tips

  • You can control the sweetness of this Italian-style shaken iced coffee by adjusting the amount of simple syrup that’s used.
  • Make sure to use a hot espresso shot! The heat from the espresso and the cold from the ice is what will give you a nice creamy froth after shaking.
  • No coffee shaker? No problem. Using a jar with a tight lid will also get the job done.
  • If you prefer, you can use granulated sugar in place of simple syrup.
  • Chill the serving glass in the freezer for 15 minutes to keep the drink colder longer.
  • For an alcoholic twist, you can add in a coffee-flavored liqueur.

Non Alcoholic Espresso Martini Variations

  • Mix up the flavor of your Caffee Shakerato by swapping the plain simple syrup for a flavored one! Vanilla simple syrup or Brown Sugar Simple Syrup would both be great options!
  • For a fruity flair, try using Blueberry Simple Syrup or Strawberry Simple Syrup.
  • Add orange or lemon zest or Orange Simple Syrup for a citrusy twist on this espresso drink!
  • If you’re a fan of mocha, you can incorporate Chocolate Syrup.
  • Top your Italian Shaken Espresso with Whipped Cream for a Shakerato Con Panna variation.
  • To enjoy a creamier Virgin Espresso Martini, you can add in some cold frothed milk.
