Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte
This homemade Iced Pumpkin Chai Latte saves our budget without sacrificing a fun, seasonal drink that’s absolutely delicious! Made with fresh ingredients and a balanced spice profile, this classic fall latte will be your new go-to. And dare I say – it’s even BETTER than Starbucks!

This Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte Is Pure Autumn Magic
As a former Starbucks barista back in my college days, I’ve been able to perfect my favorite drinks, such as this Iced Caramel Macchiato and Shaken Brown Sugar Oatmilk Espresso!
But at the first sight of a falling leaf, I would find myself in the drive-thru, grabbing an overpriced Pumpkin Chai Latte – so I knew I needed to replicate this drink at home too. Ultimately, saving my budget without missing out on one of my favorite fall drinks that I look forward to all year.
To perfect this iconic fall flavor, I knew the answer was fresh ingredients made from scratch to produce true, authentic Autumn flavor. I’m talking about an amazing homemade pumpkin spice sauce made with real pumpkin puree, which is then used to make the best homemade pumpkin cold foam with an excellent mouthfeel.
Now, don’t run to the drive-thru for a Pumpkin Chai Latte Starbucks version just because there are a few ingredients I recommend making from scratch, because they do yield large batches. Therefore, you can store the leftovers and make lattes all week long! Kind of like meal prep… but coffee prep 😉
Rebecca’s Recipe Review
Taste: Lightly sweet with cozy spices.
Texture: Creamy
Ease: 3/10
Pros: Cheaper than Starbucks!
Cons: Requires making the pumpkin sauce (but probably still quicker than the Starbucks drive-thru line).
Would I Make This Again? Yes, this is perfect for those who enjoy pumpkin drinks but who don’t love coffee.

Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte Ingredients
- Pumpkin Spice Sauce
- Chai Concentrate
- Milk
- Batch of Homemade Pumpkin Cold Foam
- Pumpkin Pie Spice for garnish
Ingredient Notes
For the best-tasting Pumpkin Chai Tea Latte, I strongly recommend making and using homemade pumpkin spice sauce, homemade pumpkin cold foam, and even homemade pumpkin pie spice.
Doing so will deliver true, authentic fall flavor in this Pumpkin Chai Latte with zero artificial ingredients. All three are simple to whip up and yield plenty to enjoy in other recipes as well.
After you browse the ingredients for these three, you’ll notice they use pantry staple ingredients and are then incorporated into one another.

How To Make An Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte
- Add pumpkin spice sauce and chai concentrate to a glass. Mix the two ingredients together with a spoon or hand frother.
- Fill most of the glass with ice.
- Pour milk into the glass over the ice.
- Prepare a batch of pumpkin cold foam and then add it to the top of the drink.
- Dust the cold form with pumpkin pie spice and enjoy!
Rebecca’s Pumpkin Chai Latte Tips
- For a creamy latte, use whole milk or 2% milk, but also feel free to use your personal milk of choice.
- I prefer using Tazo Chai Tea Concentrate, but feel free to use your favorite brand.
- You can make homemade chai tea with bags instead of using chai tea concentrate. I would just recommend brewing the tea with bags ahead of time to then chill it in the fridge before making this latte.

Pumpkin Chai Spice Latte Substitutions & Variations
- Black tea can be used in place of chai tea.
- Add a shot or two of espresso or add some brewed coffee to the latte to enjoy a dirty pumpkin chai latte.
- For a dairy free Pumpkin Spice Chai Latte, use a dairy alternative of your choice instead of milk. Dairy free options include soy milk, almond milk, oat milk, and coconut milk. Just keep in mind that using a dairy alternative will alter the final flavor and texture of this latte.
- Spike your Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte by adding a splash of spiced rum, Baileys, or bourbon.
- Sneak in a bit of protein by making this latte with Fairlife milk or mixing in a scoop of vanilla protein powder.
- Cool down even more by turning this latte into a Pumpkin Chai Frappe. To do so, blend the latte with ice and top it with whipped cream.
- If you’re watching your caffeine intake, you can make this a Decaf Pumpkin Chai Spice Latte by using decaf chai concentrate.

How To Serve An Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte
Enjoy the coffee shop experience at home by finishing off your latte with Homemade Whipped Cream, caramel drizzle, or plain Cold Foam.
If you’d rather warm up than cool down, you can turn this recipe into a Hot Pumpkin Chai Latte! To do so, simply warm up the tea concentrate and steam the milk to 160 degrees F.
Serving up to a crowd of friends or family? Easy, make a Large Batch Pumpkin Cream Chai Latte! To do so, mix the number of lattes you’ll need in a large pitcher and then pour it out into individual glasses.
Don’t forget a snack! I highly recommend enjoying a 4-Ingredient Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Cookie or a Cinnamon Muffin with Streusel Topping with this latte!
