Substitutions & Variations
White Chocolate Peppermint Martini – For a simple recipe for a white chocolate peppermint martini, simply swap the chocolate liqueur for white chocolate liqueur and omit the chocolate syrup.
Heavy Cream – This simple ingredient is where this martini gets its creamy deliciousness from! It can be omitted, but it will alter the final texture of the drink.
Homemade Ingredients – For a taste of homemade, you can make your own Homemade Chocolate Syrup and Easy Homemade Irish Cream! After all, the taste of homemade beats out storebought flavor any day of the week!
Dressed Up Rim – Instead of sprinkles, you could use crushed-up peppermint candy cane pieces or crushed-up peppermint bark! Either would be a tasty addition to the rim if you really love the flavor of peppermint!
How To Make Chocolate Peppermint Martinis
- Dip the rim of the martini glasses into the chocolate sauce and then into sprinkles or sugar if desired.
- Pour the vodka, Irish cream, peppermint schnapps, chocolate liqueur, heavy cream, and chocolate syrup into a cocktail shaker with ice. Shake vigorously.
- Drizzle chocolate syrup around the inner sides of the martini glasses and then strain the chocolate cocktail mixture into them.

Rebecca’s Tips
- Chill Before Making – For the best flavor, these martinis are best served and enjoyed chilled. Therefore, you’ll want to place your ingredients in the refrigerator beforehand.
- Cocktail Shaker – Using a cocktail shaker to mix the ingredients over ice ensures the martini is thoroughly mixed while simultaneously chilling it at the same time. Though if you don’t have a cocktail shaker you can use a protein shaker bottle, a mason jar with a lid, or a tightly sealed travel coffee mug.
- Servings – This recipe yields two Christmas Martinis. For more servings, you can double the recipe or just make a large batch in a punch bowl for easier serving!
Make It A Large Batch!
Make this recipe into a large batch for those big holiday gatherings or when you’re hosting brunch! You can even make this chocolate peppermint martini 2 or 3 days ahead of time to make for easier party prep.
Simply mix the ingredients together and store them in a large jug with a cover. Since it will be chilled in the fridge for a few days, you don’t need to use a cocktail shaker to mix the ingredients together.
When you’re ready to serve the large batch martini, just carefully pour it into your favorite punch bowl! Then set out a plate of chocolate syrup and sprinkles so guests can prepare their own rimmed glass if they’d like.
Fill the holiday season with more drinks that are just as delicious as this Chocolate Peppermint Martini! Both my Poinsettia Cocktail and Sparkling Vodka Cranberry are made in 5 minutes or less and will spread as much holiday cheer as this martini!
