Let me tell ya something: I’m so excited about the new Goosebumps series! As a kid, I read ALL of the Goosebumps books and rewatched the TV adaptations like The Werewolf of Fever Swamp over and over again! Did anyone else out there have a slight Goosebumps addiction as a kid?
This was a huge hit with some family recently, even though they were skeptical. Was one of the first drinks gone (even before the alcohol!). We added some plastic eyeballs as well. ☺ – Leann

To be honest, I haven’t been all that into Halloween in the last 10 years, but stuff like this makes it seem fun again! Especially when I get to whip up fun Pop Culture Recipes like this one!

How To Make Halloween Punch
This has to be one of the easiest Halloween Punch Recipes out there! It’s a classic Sherbert Punch with a fun Halloween twist!
- Mix together some lemon-lime soda (or ginger ale) and green food coloring in a large punch bowl.
- Then add in some rainbow sherbet (or lime sherbet) and some gummy worms.
- Ladle into glasses and garnish, and you’ve got a super fun punch!
Serving a group of 50 guests?
If you are following this recipe, you’ll need 4 batches for 48 people and 5 batches if you need to have over 50 servings.
Can You Make A Party Punch The Day Before?
No. This recipe is primarily soda and sherbet, which will not hold up if made ahead of time. This recipe should be made right before your party begins so the punch keeps its delightful fizz! When freshly mixed, the ginger ale produces plenty of bubbles, much like those found in a classic root beer float. As with most sodas, the punch will slowly lose some of its effervescence if it sits out for several hours, but it starts off frothy and fun.
Ways To Serve This Spooky Punch
Add a colored sugar syrup rim for an extra spooky look! Simply mix 1/2 cup of powdered sugar with a teaspoon or two of water and food coloring until smooth and not too runny.
Pipe along the edge of the glasses and place in the fridge for a few minutes to set before adding punch.
Serve it with gummy worms, eyeball pong balls, or fun straws and cups!

Green Halloween Punch Variations
If you’re looking to mix up the flavor a bit, feel free to add a couple of cups of pineapple or orange juice and even some lemonade concentrate!
Most of the ingredients in this punch are pretty standard, and you can find them at just about any grocery store. Here are a few fun ways to switch up your spooky punch:
- Soda Base: Stick with lemon-lime soda for a classic taste, or swap in ginger ale for a slightly different fizz.
- Juice Boost: Add pineapple juice for a tropical twist, or toss in a splash of lemon juice (fresh-squeezed is best!) if you want to balance the sweetness a bit.
- Sherbet Swap: Lime sherbet gives you that signature green color, but you can totally use orange or rainbow sherbet. If you want to keep things extra witchy and green, just add a couple drops of green food coloring.
- Flavor Fun: I also love adding Kool-Aid powder mixes for even more fun flavor ideas like green apple or green berry rush.
Whether you’re going for ghoulish green or experimenting with other flavors, this punch is super easy to customize for your crowd!

How To Make a Boozy Version for Your Monster Mash
Looking to give your punch a grown-up twist for an adults-only fright fest? It’s super easy to transform this kid-friendly treat into a spooktacular party punch your friends will love!
Just add 1 to 2 cups of your favorite vodka or white rum directly to the punch bowl as you mix everything together. Mix well, taste, and adjust with a splash more spirit if needed. Don’t be afraid to get creative—experiment with other liquors like Midori for an extra-green look, or even pineapple rum for tropical vibes.
And of course, please remind your guests this version is strictly for grown-up ghouls and goblins!
